How It Works

Getting a website with Hively takes one short form and a few emails. No meetings, no software to learn and nothing to pay until you approve the finished site.

1. Tell us about your business

Fill out our intake form. It takes about 10 minutes. You'll tell us your business name, what you do, your key services, the customers you want to reach, your city or service area, and the tone you like (professional, friendly, bold or luxury). You also choose a plan and tell us whether you already have a domain name.

For the words on your site, you have three options: provide your own text, let Hively write it for you, or have us use the content from your existing website. For images, you can upload your own photos and logo (up to 10 files on the form) or ask us to use stock images.

2. We follow up by email

After you submit the form, we email you a private Google Drive folder link within one business day. Drop any text into the document and your photos into the photos folder. If we have questions, we ask them by email too. No calls are needed, but if you'd like a quick 15-minute video call with founder Brian Mahany first, email support@hivelymedia.com and we'll set one up.

3. We build your site in 48 hours

We design and build your website and email you a private preview link. You see the real site, on your own phone and computer, before you commit to anything.

4. Review and refine

Approve the preview as it is, or ask for changes. You get two rounds of revisions at no cost. Revisions add a little time. Your preview link stays active for 7 days if the site hasn't been approved yet.

5. Approve, pay and go live

When you're happy, you approve the site and start your monthly plan through PayPal. That is the first time you pay anything. Then we connect your domain and your site goes live. We'll only ask for access to your domain once your site is ready to launch, and you keep full ownership of it.

After launch

Your plan covers hosting, SSL and upkeep, plus 1 free edit every month. Just email what you'd like changed, such as new prices, a new photo or updated hours. Extra edits are $25 each. You can cancel anytime in PayPal, with no contract and no cancellation fee.

Why it's fast

Most of the delay in a traditional web project comes from meetings, proposals, deposits and back-and-forth about scope. We skip that. One form gives us what we need, the plans are fixed, and the work starts as soon as your details arrive.
